What is more inspiring than people who challenge the standards of society, who challenge our perception of ‘normal looking people’, who tickle our curiosity and who captivate our eyes for more than just 3 seconds.

Fashion eccentrics are almost non-existing in my native Denmark – the closest we get to eccentrics in Denmark is the lovely singer Aura – and even internationally, fashion eccentrics don’t grow on trees.

However, two stands out as true fashion eccentrics.

Anna Piaggi, Italian fashion writer and style icon famous for her D.P. (doppie pagine Italian for double spread) in Italian Vogue and Julie Verhoeven, multi-disciplined designer across art and fashion; from illustration and creative direction to design consultancy (she has among others collaborated with Mulberry and Versace) are two of fashion’s eye candies and truly fashion eccentrics.
